My updated blog – please visit
I have updated the blog itwasanowl.com. It is interactive. I invite everyone to respond to what I may write. I encourage you to subscribe. You won’t be inundated because my brain operates only when inspired and inspiration happens maybe once a month sometimes 2 or 3 times a month but that is rare. I have been surprised by how many people I don’t know have liked some of the things I have written. I am calling it/this an experiment in re-imagining the world.
Tim and I are doing a class next week 7/26 on Re-imagining the World – another experiment – because now more than ever we need to recreate, rethink and change how we define ourselves personally within our communities and within our country and within our global unity
The blog will not be political though politics will creep in as it defines our lives these days more than ever. I will be writing about how we cannot create a new world, re-imagine a better world without sinking into our personal and collective darkness. We live in a reality of paradox: good/bad; love/hate; compassion/destruction; war/peace. I have spent the last several months reading about the lives of people who changed the world. Martin Luther King, Jr., Albert Einstein, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Dorothy Day (great social activist) – all were flawed human beings who did combat with their inner demons. Their goodness and good works came at a heavy psychological price and that is what makes their work sustainable.
I thought I was personally done with despair. November 8th, 2016 shoved it back in my face. I am more personally attached because of the work I do but I REFUSE to let despair have the last word. Thus, I imagine one thing a day that I can change from darkness to light. And that is what my blog will be about!
For trolling haters – you will be deleted. However, if you plumb the depths of your hatred for the reason what I write disturbs you, to understand within yourself why or where it comes from, we have a conversation to be had. BUT – the twitter, FB, snapchat, Instagram, emoji superficial, non-thinking tools and consciousness that have replaced a genuine thought process are not welcome.
